Dear sPHENIX Colleagues,

This email is a reminder to please register for the quickly approaching commissioning workfest! The workfest will be held December 15-16, directly following the collaboration meeting at BNL. The indico page is below, and it is important that you register so we know how many rooms we should reserve.

https://indico.bnl.gov/event/17618/

If you are already registered, we encourage you to get in contact with the convener(s) of the commissioning area you are interested in contributing to. They are:

Calibrations - Blair Seidlitz (Columbia, calorimeters), Yasser Morales (MIT, silicon detectors), and Evgeny Shulga (Stony Brook, TPC)
Commissioning analysis - Cameron Dean (MIT) and Virginia Bailey (Georgia State Univeristy)
Data readout to reconstruction - Martin Purschke (BNL) and Takao Sakaguchi (BNL)
Online monitoring - Chris Pinkenburg (BNL)
TPC distortions - Ross Corliss (Stony Brook)
Tracking and alignment - Joe Osborn (BNL) and Tony Frawley (Florida State University)

Last but not least, we will have an introductory tutorial on December 1st at 9 AM ET:
https://indico.bnl.gov/event/17625/
This tutorial will contain an overview of what you should know before coming to the workfest. If you are unsure about whether or not you are prepared, please make plans to attend the tutorial so that everyone can be ready for the workfest!

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out.

Joe Osborn
