sPHENIX is a new detector at RHIC.

Hi folks,

some (all?) of you did get an email yesterday from sdcc asking to enroll 
into CoManage.

CoManage is part of the effort to get the BNL federated id off the 
ground and get our accounts better organized. Especially for sPHENIX you 
likely have multiple sdcc accounts (forced upon us by sdcc policy). 
CoManage puts them under one umbrella where you then can choose which 
"role" you want to play. This is not for actual logging into sdcc hosts 
but for sdcc services like Mattermost. It should also get you into jlab 
or cern (if you have are authorized over there, CoManage only tells them 
who you are and to which group(s) you belong). Right now it recognizes 
only sdcc and bnl accounts but at some point it should also allow you to 
use other id providers (e.g. you home institution) instead of sdcc or 
BNL to use sdcc services.

You will find a link at the top of the mail for the initial enrollment. 
It is a 5 minute painless process, I used my sdcc account. From the 
browser it already "knows" who you are, you basically verify the 
information. Then it sends an email to the address it has for you with 
another link which after clicking it triggers a human review and a day 
later you get notified that you are good.
