sPHENIX is a new detector at RHIC.

    Hi all,
     As many of you know, the sPHENIX Internal Readiness
    Review was held last week, Apr 5-7.  Though the review
    focused on safety, much of it also concentrated on documentation,
    such as assembly drawings, procedures, training, detector
    test results, operations planning etc. We posted > 200 documents
    on the IRR website.

    The review outcome was positive though we were left with 11 pre and 
post
    start action items to address. See attached.
    In order to have permission to cool down our magnet, and flow operating
    gas to the TPC and TPOT, we need to address the action items
    in the review report. Though that sounds easy, we have to provide
    a written response to each item that we have addressed, and have 4 
separate
    groups approve our responses: the IRR committee, the CAD 
Experimental Safety
    Review Committee, BNL ES&H, and the local DOE office (in series).
    Both the sPHENIX group, and CAD, are working on these responses and we
    hope to submit them to the groups for review and approval soon. Thanks.
