Dear sPHENIX colleagues,

As announced by Dave in last week’s GM, and given the exciting progress in commissioning the sPHENIX detector, we are starting a new series of Physics Coordination Meetings, Fridays at 12pm BNL time, meeting off-cycle to the GMs.

In the long-term "steady state", we would like the PCMs to be the venue for coordinating sPHENIX physics and publication planning, for example between the TGs and the Calibrations/Computing efforts. However, during this commissioning period, we will use it as a forum for first looks at low-level "physics-like” data, progress towards reconstruction and calibration, etc.

The first meeting is this Friday 12pm, i.e. 2 June 2023: https://indico.bnl.gov/event/16728/ . All sPHENIX collaborators are welcome to attend.
