We did not receive much feedback on plot approvals for this week's GM. Please note that the AUM ~coincides with the nominal end of our commissioning period. While PR is not our main concern, it would certainly be unfortunate if all the material approved for the AUM reflected our commissioning status from early June, i.e., week 3-4 of the commissioning period, and if no material was available for some of our subsystems. Please let us know if you expect to have new plots or event displays for approval on Friday.

As we discussed at the physics coordination meeting last Friday, the rehearsals for our talks at the RHIC user's meeting will take place early next week. Consequently, this week's General Meeting is the best opportunity to approve any new performance plots or event displays to be included in these talks. This is very important, as the AUM will be our first opportunity to showcase the enormous progress that has been made in the commissioning effort to the wider RHIC community, in the two plenary talks and the workshop talks. 

Following the procedure outlined (and applied) before, please prepare a short note describing the data used, event selection etc for the plots proposed for approval and circulate among the experts (see https://indico.bnl.gov/event/19367/contributions/75970/attachments/47272/80179/sickles_042823.pdf  for a reminder on the procedure). Going forward, the notes should use the sPHENIX notes overleaf template (see slides 12-15 in this presentation: https://indico.bnl.gov/event/19922/contributions/77927/attachments/48193/81816/GM_20230623.pdf). We will archive those notes on Invenio. Please make sure to label all plots as "sPHENIX Internal" until after approval, at which point the label should be changed to "sPHENIX Preliminary".

Please let us know if you or your detector/topical group/etc are planning to present any material for approval, such that we can prepare the GM agenda accordingly.
