The Relativistic Heavy Ion group at the University of Texas at Austin invites applications for a postdoctoral research position. The group is involved in research in the ALICE Collaboration at CERN and will have contributions at the future EIC experiments.
The successful candidate will play a major role in data taking and data analysis for the ALICE experiment at the LHC, performing heavy-flavour measurements. There are also opportunities to be involved in R&D projects for ALICE and EIC experiments. The candidate should have a Ph.D. in experimental nuclear physics and a strong background in data analysis. The appointment will initially be for one year, renewable for up to 3 years upon satisfactory performance and available funding.
Applicants should submit a resume highlighting personal research achievements, a list of publications where you have made significant contributions, a 1-2 page statement of research interests, and arrange three letters of references. The application material should be sent to Prof. Deepa Thomas (deepa.thomas AT utexas.edu). Review of applications will begin in fall 2023 and will continue until the position is filled. Any questions should be directed to Prof. Deepa Thomas.
