Hi Joseph,

Thanks for the updated slides, I have a few more comments below.

Slide 4 – I suggest changing the text from “near clone of ITS-2” to “based on ITS-2 technology” or something similar.

Slide 15 – I would remove the last bullet point as it was already stated in the previous slide. Also, I think you have the color dots backwards in the text. The black dots are the clusters we actually physically measure, where the blue dots are the clusters in their truth position along the track trajectory. Ultimately our distortion correction procedure needs to correct the black cluster positions back to their actual blue cluster positions.

Slide 19-20 – I would still suggest having at least one slide showing the performance of the tracking system as a whole – right now, it is not apparent how all of these subsystems come together to give us the sPHENIX tracking system that will enable our (e.g. heavy flavor) physics program. You’re probably close to your time limit, so perhaps slide 18 and 19 can be discussed quickly to show the correlations and then show how everything comes together. If you need pointers of where to find something, let me know (e.g. you should be able to use either last year’s QM poster or the talk I pointed you to earlier in the week).

Subject: [Sphenix-l] Soliciting Feedback for Tracking Talk

Hello,

I will be giving a talk on our tracking detectors for the upcoming AGS meeting. I've made some edits in accordance with the feedback I got from the rehearsal and wanted to solicit feedback from the organization.

Please let me know if you have any suggestions. The most recent version of the talk is uploaded to the indico page (I will move it to invenio soon):

Thank you,

Joseph
