Hi all,
One of my students, Mirella Lajos, would like to submit an abstract for the CEU at DNP on some work she has been doing on the commissioning. Abstracts are due Wednesday August 2 by 5 PM. Any and all comments are welcome.
Thanks,
Nathan

Collisions of relativistic heavy ions produce temperatures high enough to create quark-gluon plasma (QGP), a state of matter not seen since the early universe. sPHENIX, the most recent experiment added to the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider (RHIC) at Brookhaven National Laboratory, is used to study QGP. The calorimeter system of the detector can measure the energy of particles that spray out from gold ion collisions. In this poster, we show the current results of the commissioning, such as the stability of the Outer Hadronic Calorimeter throughout the 2023 Au+Au commissioning run.
