Dear sPHENIX collaborators,

DOE will be conducting a one-day site visit on August 22. This is an off-cycle version of DOE's RHIC Science and Technology review. I've been asked to represent the collaboration with a 30 minute talk addressing these points:

    Update on sPHENIX commissioning
    Timeline for first sPHENIX science
    Plan for Run 2024 including shutdown plan
    Impact on sPHENIX science with no pA data in Run 2024

The ALD has decided that the meeting will not be "open" -- at least not in the sense of a workshop or a conference -- so once it's over we'll report at a GM on any significant news stemming from the discussions on that day.
