Dear sPHENIX collaborators,

All of us are very disappointed about the unscheduled end of Run-23.  That disappointment is especially acute in light of the tremendous sPHENIX commissioning progress made during Run-23.  We realize this abrupt change from our original plans may be particularly worrying to students and postdocs.  In coordination with the sPHENIX DEI committee, we've decided to have a open discussion about the concerns and impacts of the premature end of Run-23.  We've scheduled this for September 15 at noon ET in the general meeting time slot.  Everyone - not just students and postdocs - is welcome to participate in the discussion.

The DEI committee is collecting questions, comments, and concerns to help us focus our discussion.  Feel free to submit questions, comments, and concerns anonymously through this form

or, if you prefer, by emailing any of the sPHENIX DEI committee members:

Ron Belmont <rjbelmon AT uncg.edu>
Christine Nattrass <christine.nattrass AT utk.edu>

Regards
Dave and Gunther
