Faculty Position in the Department of Physics
The Department of Physics at the University of Michigan invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position in Physics to begin August 26, 2024, at the level of an Assistant Professor. Outstanding candidates will be considered in any area of current interest to the department. Information about our research areas can be found here. Candidates are required to have a doctoral degree in physics or a related field. The successful candidate is expected to establish an independent, externally-funded research program and to contribute effectively to the Department's undergraduate and graduate teaching missions.

There may be some overlap with your research proposal and teaching statements. Each of the research, teaching, and personal statements should not exceed three pages in length. Applicants should also arrange for three letters of reference to be submitted at the time of application.

Offers for this appointment are contingent on the successful completion of a background screening. Candidate must meet all degree requirements before the start date of the position.
