Hi everyone,

Here is a detailed update on the jet background subtraction and background 
fluctuation analysis for the JS-TG jet performance paper. I've also added 
this pdf to yesterdays jet TG meeting indico page which can be found here:

 There are still some things on the to-do list for this analysis, but I 
believe the bulk of it is complete. Here is the TL;DR of the pdf:

- The results we've seen from comparing the three different background 
subtraction methods do not indicate there is a clear method which should be 
taken as the standard for sPHENIX jet measurements. Rather, a given jet 
observable should use a background subtraction method tailored to that 
observable.
- Given the target kinematic range of the sPHENIX jet program, we should 
prioritize combinatorial jet suppression,  and jet reconstruction performance 
in the low jet momentum regime.
