  Dear all

I would like to ask you to please vote in the APS DNP elections. Anyone who is a member of DNP - including students and post docs - can vote.  Low turn out is a problem, and if we don't vote, we don't get a say in the future of the DNP.  You should have gotten an email from the domain “directvote.net”.  It often gets stuck in the spam folder.

Below my signature, I have some information about a few people who are running, including two people from our field.

Paul Gueye for DNP chair - Paul has been a leader in efforts to both diversify nuclear physics and to improve our community's mentoring and support for students and post docs.  He has been department chair at Hampton, an HBCU, before moving to MSU.  He has also done research both at JLab and FRIB.  He's served as president of the National Society of Black Physicists and has helped develop collaborations between the US and the African Physical Society. This breadth in his research has also helped him work with multiple different constituencies within the DNP.

Sevil Salur for Executive Committee - Sevil is one of our own!  She got her PhD on STAR and has maintained an active presence at RHIC throughout her career.  She's an excellent mentor and understands the needs of our community.

Carol Scarlett for the Executive Committee - Carol Scarlett is on PHENIX and sPHENIX, where she focuses on ultraperipheral collisions.  She is an excellent mentor as well and she is active in the National Society of Black Physicists, currently serving as technical executive officer.
