The minutes for today’s meeting are below and on indico:

• INTT/MBD synchronization
• Two types of MBD event dropping identified
• Thought to have most of the events in scenario 1 in the zero field
data;
• Field on runs are less known
• Scenario 1:
• alignment can be achieved before event dropping starts
• Scenario 2:
• Seems that the events which are not in sync has bad clock
information
• There is still a correlation between MBD charge & INTT
information
• Why is Chris needed to implement the fix for scenario 1 in fun4all?
• Chris: The current event combiner works for the calorimeters
but the INTT isn’t into that scheme
• Current event combiner might work because the INTT data was
taken in triggered mode
• Path forward:
• Proceed using the non-fun4all path for now
• The entire chain has to be able to run in a push-button,
documented way available to anyone in the calibration.
• In parallel work can be done to integrate the INTT into
calorimeter event combiner with the priority remaining on the run 24 prep.
• Cold QCD group
• See the detailed slides
• Effect of the crossing angle on the ZDCs
• Ralf/Itaru are looking into that and will follow up
• HF group
• New KFParticle
• DST compression
• Commissioning analyses
• K0S/D0 to validate reco algorithms
• Arbitrary levels of misalignment in this study (according
to Joe)
• Early analyses
• prompt/non-prompt D0
• Cameron & LANL team also Thomas helping with this - good to
have more personpower on this important early physics
• Lambda_c and proton tagging
• HF (D or b) tagged jets
• Plan is for a staggered procedure using calo jets, rather
than require PFlow for any first results
• JS group
• Lots of work ongoing–see slides
• Workfest planned for mid-March (dates to be finalized)
