Hi all,

I’m pleased to announce the debut of our world-viewable Public Results page here: https://www.sphenix.bnl.gov/PublicResults

Open it up and take a look!

For our event displays and performance plots, there are downscaled thumbnails showing you a preview of each plot, which also serve as links to the high-resolution versions (vector graphics PDFs when possible) hosted on the sphenix.bnl.gov website. There are also links to some technical and sPHENIX-related papers.

The intention is that this website is an up-to-date, central point of reference for all sPHENIX results, including physics papers, Preliminary results, performance plots, event displays, technical papers, etc. Thus it is a reference for us in the Collaboration and also those in the wider community interested in sPHENIX results. I will propose that in future conference talks, our sPHENIX speakers include a link to the Public Results page at a convenient location (e.g. introduction or conclusion slide).

A few notes:

* For the subsystem experts who produced our performance plots and event displays, please take a close look at your content - make sure the links work, that I have the latest and highest-resolution figure, that my short summary descriptions are OK, that I have not omitted any plots, etc.

* Since we do not (yet) have physics papers or Preliminary results, I have filled the landing page with our colorful event displays and performance plots. In the future, as we add results, I may move these to separate linked pages just to not crowd the main Public Results page.

* I am not a web designer and I have only limited control over the particular formatting. However, I am happy for constructive suggestions about improving the table layout, the thumbnail+link scheme, etc. In particular, the website is supposed to dynamically resize for viewing in different-width browsers, cell phones, etc. - I would be happy for feedback on how this works in practice.

Thanks for your comments,

Dennis
