General: You state very clearly that no correction is made for the space charge distortion, but it would be good to have some idea of the order-of-magnitude of this expected effect, and perhaps its momentum dependence. To begin, it would be useful to specify the p+p collision rate for these two runs. I am not asking for additional plots, perhaps just an additional sentence. 

Now by line number:

 25: “observed tearing effect” 

        I don’t know what “tearing” means in this context, and don’t even know how to pronounce it. Does it refer to something like a teardrop shape, or something like tearing paper?

 34: “of the layer was recorded in” I don’t understand; is it supposed to be 

       “of the layer it was recorded in” ?

 38: “the highest the highest”

 42: “non calibrated” —> non-calibrated
