Dear sPHENIX collaborators,

Just a few days until the Summer Sunday!  And we need more volunteers!

Are you a student?  A postdoc?  Visiting BNL for shifts?  Everyone is welcome to sign up and help out.

Click on the google doc link and add your name -- trust me, it'll be fun.

The BNL video group produced a short, silent video that we'll have running endlessly on a monitor behind us.  You can see it here:

Cheers,
Dave

Dear sPHENIX collaborators,

Summer Sunday approaches!  We still need more volunteers to help out this Sunday, September 15.  I've set up a google doc so you can enter your name and indicate whether you can be there during the morning or the afternoon (or both!).  We need about a dozen more people to sign up!

Click the link and add your name.  Or you can email me directly.  Whichever method you prefer.

In addition to sPHENIX components, Chris Pinkenburg is going to bring a high school-built robot do drive around a specialized field.  You won't want to miss out.  If you helped out last year, it's a great chance to build upon the experience you gained.  If you haven't participated in a Summer Sunday, it's a great chance to interact with the general public and explain a bit about what we do.

The event will take place at the Chemistry Building, and things are taking shape there already.  EMCal and iHCal prototype sectors have been set up in  front of the building.  A new video about sPHENIX has been produced by the BNL videography group for the occasion.  It's getting real!

Cheers,
Dave
