GSU Nuclear Physics Post-Doc Opportunity 
 

The Experimental Nuclear Physics Group in the Department of Physics and Astronomy at Georgia State University (GSU) invites applications for a postdoctoral position in Relativistic Heavy Ion Physics. GSU is active in the PHENIX, sPHENIX, and ePIC collaborations. GSU has been a leader in the research and development as well as construction of the sPHENIX hadronic calorimeters and related subsystems in ePIC. The postdoc will lead analysis of the recent sPHENIX p+p and Au+Au data which aligns with the existing group expertise on jet, photon and heavy flavor physics.   

 

The candidate must have a Ph.D. in experimental nuclear physics or a related field before starting this position. An agreeable start date for this position will be determined with the successful candidate 

  

Applicants should submit a CV and a brief description of research experience and interests as well as arrange for three letters of recommendation to be sent directly to Prof. Megan Connors (mconnors AT gsu.edu). Review of applications will begin on Oct 11thAll applications submitted by that date will receive full consideration but review of applications will continue until the position is filled
