Hi @Jin Huang et. al.

Thanks very much for the great feedback.

I have finished modifying the screenshots of the event display and uploaded an internal note to invenio:

https://sphenix-invenio.sdcc.bnl.gov/records/kjesr-0kn23

I'll let Rosi know about the updates. I have also updated the TPC slide she will present.

Hi Everyone

Congratulations to Charles on the new TPC line laser displays, which were conditionally approved for this meeting.

Change request:
  • Megan: noting the run has a line laser only
  • Jin: "T" in B=1.4T goes to the next line, solved by the next comment
  • Cameron: Should we use φ, θ, and an upperscript degree? We figured this out for the HF plots, so I can send it to Charles.

Further discussions
  • Cameron: I'm trying to predict questions from an audience: “Why are the hits not a smooth line?” My guess is that it's not alignment but something intrinsic to how the laser works
  • Charles/Jin: The track traverses through various orientations relative to the pad rows, which are displayed as the pad row pattern is illuminated by the laser track.
Megan: usefulness of the theta/phi information on the plot
  • Jin: could be useful, denoting that we can control the line laser direction.
Megan: Why does one of the laser goes horizontal?
  • Charles: 9S-laser has a low theta angle in this particular configuration.

Cheers

Jin

Hi Everyone

Please join a brief performance plot approval shortly before shift change meeting today. The topic is an event display recently made by Charles Hughes to show the first TPC line laser run, and it was proposed to show in the Run25 plenary talk by Rosi tomorrow.

Cheers

Jin
