I poked around the documentation on operating the BaBar solenoid, and according to BaBar's procedures:

they ramped at about 130 A/s, so a ramp to full operating current took them about 35 min. It seems to me that would be the same for us.
One of the papers says recovery from a quench took them about 5 hours, that presumably depends on the refrigerator, I don't know how to calculate that.
The experts should correct me if I misunderstand.
