Hi,
Thanks.
One thing I notice in this note 233 is its current of ~6830 A which is similar to the current mentioned in chap. 9 of Babar TDR
http://www.slac.stanford.edu/BFROOT/www/doc/TDR/tdr_ch09_magnet.ps.gz , > 7000 A.
Both were published in ~1995. Their currents are obviously quite a bit different from the final operating current of ~4596 A. Though with the same NbTi, the material size etc. are different from what was mentioned in 1999 Nucl. Phys. B conference proceedings.
I have just also noticed that the inductance mentioned in this note was ~1.15 H, also ~1 H smaller than the final one in Ansaldo's measurement in the documents that we have received.
I make a mental note for myself that what is in these design report is not exactly the same as the final Babar magnet -- Pasquale has warned us, too --- when I later try to use any no. I guess the methodologies contained in this note would probably be most useful.

Jim Mills found the paper copy of BaBar Note 233, the solenoid Technical
Design Report that Pasquale referred to, and it seems to have many more
pages of figures, but our colleagues at SLAC sent me this version of the
document.
