Hi,

The Solenoid Magnet has been finally rotated so that the junction box/doghouse has been rotated from ~43 deg. to 180 deg. at the top as you may see
from the picture attached (which I took this morning).   They started yesterday, worked from ~9 am to ~3:15 pm and managed to rotated to about 120 deg.
Today it happened much faster and they finished rotating it to 180 deg. around their tea time (after 10 am or so).

Paul Giannotti and Piyush Joshi have taken some strain voltage data while they were moving and I have posted the data (Excel) below :

https://collab.external.bnl.gov/sites/sPHENIX-Magnet/Shared%20Documents/Forms/AllItems.aspx?RootFolder=%2Fsites%2FsPHENIX-Magnet%2FShared%20Documents%2F100%20A%20Test%2FStrain%20Voltage%20Data%20%28Aug.%206-7%2C%202015%29

together with Paul's email explanation.

Dave told me that there is a small height difference in the two axial ends and they will try to make it balanced this afternoon.  ( Not sure whether
this slight tilt would affect much of the strain readings ... )

Kin
