Attached are photos of the sPHENIX Magnet Valve Box support tabs.

On each support tab there is another 1” thick piece welded to the bottom.

Does anyone know what these pieces were for?

They make support of the Valve Box awkward. Can I have them removed?

To remove them I would have a technician grind off the weld (after the Valve Box is closed).

Maybe we can discuss this at the Magnet meeting on Wednesday?
