sPHENIX discussion of the superconducting solenoid

1. We've gone over the schedule and a lot is hinged on the delivery of the He 
piping which is scheduled to be completed in 9 weeks.
D. Phillips told us that the piping is only to be picked up tomorrow.  We'll 
have weekly meeting with them and try to get them to
meet the schedule (or even earlier if possible).   If possible, we'll try to 
see whether they can deliver the two spools first to us
so that the Cryo group may be able to do the tie-in if there is a downtime 
from ERL.

The basic principle is try to finish all the works before the piping arrives 
so that whenever there is opening (downtime) from ERL,
we may be able to make use of it.


2. D. Phillips led the discussion about the Valve Box support and it's agreed 
that we'll cut off the ear structure (photo attached)
on each side of the Valve Box.  We'll use some spring system to support and 
facilitate the installation of the valve box.  Some
drawings need to be made before the work is done.


3. Ray Ceruti and his team are working to close all parts of the valve box 
for the leak check/pressure test.  He has estimated
that we may be able to try to pump down next week.


4. I have mentioned that we're writing the preliminary Conceptual Design 
Report and I've put in 3 out of 4 parts of the draft (for the Magnet)
--- that I had received from R. Lambiase, A. Franz and R. Than --- into the 
Overleak system (https://www.overleaf.com/2657127qghjbm#/).
Mike Anerella has agreed to send his contribution by the end of this week.

We've also discussed the "Cost and Schedule" review on Nov. 9-10, 2015.  
Since I'll be in Hong Kong, Jim Mills will give the main Magnet talk.
It's not clear whether we may need additional talk(s) for the detailed 
portion of the Magnet such as Cryo etc.
