sPHENIX discussion of the superconducting solenoid

Hello,

Mel has written a work permit and we have gathered all 6 signatures (Ray Ceruti, Mel VanEssendelft, Ray Karol, Dave Phillips, Al Pendzick for C. Folz and Mike Mapes).

Ray told me that he'll start the pumping down and tomorrow or later, he'll use the HD to do the leak check for very small leak.   Ray has informed me that
we can use Valve Box as of now and he's just trying to do the best to see whether we can make it even better :-)

I was told that there are 3 plans/scenarios for this leak check:

(1) We find the leak which is in a place that we can fix and so we fix it.

(2) We find the leak but it's impractical to fix.  So, we know where the small leak is without fixing it.

(3) We can't find the leak (after many hours of Ray's folks looking for it).  And we just live with it :-)
