sPHENIX discussion of the superconducting solenoid

There will be a biweekly sPHENIX Magnet meeting on Nov. 25 at 1:30 pm (note : NOT 1 pm) in the usual 902A conference room.

 

I list the agenda as follows.   The not-cold-enough idea didn’t work out for ERL last Friday and so we have less constraint on our

test schedule.   ( But still we would want to accommodate some future ERL works which require cryogenics. )

 

      Mainly to talk about the imminent Cryo field-joint work, the preparation for the low-field test after the Thanksgiving.   Wencan (ERL) is OK with us to warm up the system Wed. night and so that we make use of the Thanksgiving holiday.

 

      When can we do the real low-field test ?

      Walkthrough by the ESRC & ASSRC (which requires a presentation first)

      P. Joshi will leave for CERN on Dec. 5 and come back on Dec. 13.
