sPHENIX discussion of the superconducting solenoid

Rich Meier told me that he’s waiting for L. Masi to take the two new/working Flow Controllers to replace the non-working Flow Controllers

(from BaBar).   Rich told me that those two old controllers seem to only open or close, but can’t be 10% or 50% (etc.) opened.

 

I attach the HMI picture and you can see the two “Flow Cntrl” in the middle at the top which are not showing any nos.  --- the culprit at

the moment that prevents us from cooling down.
