sPHENIX discussion of the superconducting solenoid

Hello,

 

The outlet temperature of the sPHENIX Magnet is ~285 K.   It now rises at the rate of 0.5 per hour or so.   If ~295 K is room temperature, it should be reached tomorrow.     Sonny will help us measure the resistance at room temperature (again) before we disconnect the DAQ system.  [  The total resistance for inner+outer coils was 2.35 ohm a year ago ….. ]
