sPHENIX discussion of the superconducting solenoid

Thanks to Paul Kovach who has taken the trouble to save his entire “Pro E” solid model into a CD. 

 

I put it in our BaBar disk server the “Pro E” files in:

 

\\bnl.gov\c-adnas\babar\sPHENIX\Cryo Extension\Pro-E

 

You should look for “babar_assy.asm” as this is the top level assembly file to open.

 

I’ve also put “lead_illustration.dwg” (AutoCAD) and “lead_illustration.pdf” (also from P. Kovach) in

\\bnl.gov\c-adnas\babar\sPHENIX\Cryo Extension .

 

To clean up my email box, I’ve also copied many pictures that I’ve got from P. Kovach and P. Giannotti to

J. Mills sent us 40 PDF file that P. Kovach sent him earlier when they’re released to the central shop.   I’ve saved them into a zip file which I then uploaded

to both the above-mentioned URL as well as \\bnl.gov\c-adnas\babar\sPHENIX\Cryo Extension .

that Paul took last year and he said that I could see “the black wires terminated with a lug & screw into the copper flags”.  But I’m not sure what I’m seeing

and I need to seek private tutorial to understand it J
