sPHENIX discussion of the superconducting solenoid

Hi,

We can't be too precise about this (such as how many screws).   The list should be :

1. The Solenoid Magnet (coils and the cryostat) and instrument inside such as strain gauges, linear potentiometer & thermo-sensors
2. Valvebox, extension, junction boxes, all the connections in-between (Cryo)
3. Voltage taps and the leads
4. quench detector and the entire data acquisition system (including the front-end electronics such as filters, amplifiers, digitizers,
                     precision current source for strain gauge measurements, ADC boards, VME boards etc.)
                     + all the software developed
5. substantially refurbished Power Supply itself (everything inside plus dump resistor and contactor)

Building off of the Estimate to Complete for the High Field Magnet test, would you put together a list of all equipment and material that we are using for the test that we believe will be re-used at B1008 for the final installation?  Would you try to put this together and get it back to me by close of business Friday?  It is another list that we want to present to management on why we should be continuing with the preparations for the HF test.
