sPHENIX discussion of the superconducting solenoid

Hi Ray and Paul,

 

I mentioned this to Paul a while ago though I thought we could do this in later years … but in today’s meeting, Don Lynch and others

“demanded” this “T” again at the end of the connector at the bottom of the new junction box (doghouse).   They pointed out that we should do it

now (in the installation before the High-Field Test).  Because if we don’t do it now, we may have to break cables or soldering (etc.) if

we want a “T” later.

 

I attach a couple pictures (originally from Paul Kovach I believe) to help you understand what I understand.  People raised question

when they didn’t see the “T” in the picture.

 

So, could you guys please put a “T” at the end of the connector (even though we only use one end of the “T” in this High-Field test) ?
