Unfortunately, Carl Schultheiss can’t give his report (as he, like Pablo and Zeynep, is tied up with RHIC startup). P. Giannotti will give a presentation to lead us into the discussion about the voltage tap scheme. His powerpoint can be found in the indico page below. I also attach his email below. Please don’t hesitate to comment on Paul’s powerpoint presentation file.

Hi Kin,
Your last meeting clarified a lot about voltage taps when Mike Anerella commented on my slides & defined exactly what a “junction” was. This was great because, it seemed even Carl was not clear on this. He was going on the fact no one from SMD previously challenged my voltage tap sketches since the original presentation at your meeting on July 20, 2015.
It has a direct impact on the number of voltage/quench trip channels Carl is accounting & designing the input boards for.
Maybe I am still confused but am providing the attached presentation to all for comment to flush this out.
No problem, we’re getting there.
Regards, Paul |
