Hi,
Thanks Ed O’Brien/D. Phillips for sending F. Toldo to help.
To avoid losing things again, I’ve just shown Frank Toldo where J4/J5 cables are in 912 (and I think Paul Giannotti actually used a plastic to wrap around the connector end). Rich Meier helped pointing them to me.
I’ve also shown him the voltage tap cable (from resistor board in the half-rack that used to exist on the platform) to the computer/DAQ racks during the low-field test (https://lists.bnl.gov/pipermail/sphenix-magnet-l/attachments/20170405/6ae42176/attachment-0002.jpg ). It’s been sitting outdoor under the sun, rain and snow for months (if not almost a year).
Frank is going to disconnect them totally tomorrow and take them back to his place to keep them. Frank will also test/check to see whether the voltage cable (with multiple wires inside) are good for re-use.
If I find and come across some more cables in the future, I’ll probably also give them to Frank for “safekeeping”.
We don’t touch the Cryo cables as Rich Meier told us to just leave them in where they’re in 912. We probably cover all the ownership this way.
As of now, the half-rack is nowhere to be found. Tom will order those 3 connectors (for J10/J11/J12) from where Paul Giannotti last ordered them. Sonny has 1 spare left from last time. I hope Sonny can help us make that resistor board and the voltage connections again J Sorry, Sonny L
