Hi,

 

This morning, the Extension has been transported to Bldg. 912 and you can see a little bit of it from the picture that I

took this morning here :

Ray Ceruti’s group is now doing the installation ….

 

This picture also shows that a mat and a couple planks are placed at the bottom of the Solenoid for people to walk through, pretty much like what

Paul Orfin has suggested.

 

[ The Al shell is actually thicker at both ends of the cylinder.  For the inner shell, at both ends (each 100 mm in length), the thickness is

(2910-2840)/2 mm = 35 mm. ]
