sPHENIX discussion of the superconducting solenoid

Hi,

I've just checked with Bill Christie and apparently, they have approved OverTime for the carpenters to start working on our staircase/platform
(for the High-Field Test setup) this week.    The carpenters have also got some OverTime jobs for AGS (etc.) so that even with OverTime, we
may not get them fulltime during the OverTime :-)   But at least, we hope to get the carpenters started to work on our staircase/platform this week.
This happened after this morning's discussion among Bill, J. Mills, Ed. O'Brien, D. Phillips et. al.

John Benante just came to my office (half an hour ago) to let me know that they've just finished pulling the network cables (4) in Bldg. 912.  The network cables
went over a very high/difficult route to finally come to the new Cryo rack (as John and his guys needed to climb quite high 25 ft or so).   Nevertheless, it's done.
2 cables for the Cryo Rack and the other 2 for the data-acquisition/quench detector Rack.   I hope Bill/Kyle can install their network switch soon...
