I will head out there tomorrow afternoon (later in the day).  It looks like I will have to modify the enclosure a bit depending on the outcome of the work tomorrow night (flex cable or not) and to accommodate the new bus supports.  I have to catch up on work in 510 tomorrow morning and right after lunch !

Hello,

Since last week, somebody (like Carl Schultheiss & Paul Orfin) have mentioned the concern that the 535 MCM cables
may be pulling at the Current Leads.   Jim Mills, Mike Lenz, Dave Phillips, Fred Kobasiuk et. al. all looked at it and suggested various
schemes.  The plan is as follows.

Carl Schultheiss has promised to finish his tests (making use of the short-circuit) by the end of tomorrow.   Rob Karl
(and his folks) in C-AD will try to disconnect the cables and try to build a support for the copper bars.

Mike Lenz has been building the box and is also building an adjustable struct to support the cables.

Fred Kobasiuk told us that the cable would gradually "move" down (due to gravity) from his past experience :-) And therefore we should clamp the cables (somewhere, eg. at the support) to prevent the cables from moving down.

Mike has agreed to work with C-AD folks ....

The intention is build this thing as soon as we can.  When the hipot comes, we just disconnect the cables and reconnect the cables
when the test is finished.

While the coil temperature drops very slowly ( I guess the gradient is very small now as it approachs LN2 boiling point) --- 2018-1-9.JPG,

I saw that the Liquid fraction is increasing in the plot of "2018-1-9 He Plant.JPG", so I guess that the He plant is starting to generate Liquid He :-)
