Hi,

Today, the top of the current leads was dry and it made a huge difference for hipot.  So, when the coils were about 13-14 K,

Carl did the hipot test and the current at the meter was stuck at 0.01 mA when he raised the voltage from 0 to 520 V (ie. nothing).

Very different from what we observed last Friday (which broke 1 mA when the voltage > 180 V).

I took another picture of the HMI graphics and you see that the temperature for one coil has gone below 12 K.   Paul Orfin

and Roberto Than are working to try to get the magnet to 4 K and test whether this can be sustained for a long long time.

Though there was no progress on the support stand etc.,  Rob Karl has told Dave Phillips that they’ll work on the support stand etc.

this afternoon and on overtime tonight.
