Hello,

This morning, before/around 11 am, the riggers started setting up two concrete blocks on the floor. ( I am

not sure where you found the blocks. 😊 )

This afternoon, after 1 pm, the riggers, with Brian Streckenbach, Ray Ceruti, Joe D’Ambra, Drew Carleton,

and Frank Toldo et. al., lift the Valvebox from the platform and put it over the concrete blocks. The initial

lifting off the junction-box is very very slow as a lot of adjustment needed to be done between the riggers

and Ray and Joe. After the Valvebox was completely detached from the junction box, it’s relatively much

swifter journey to the concrete blocks. I attach one picture that I took at the end of the removal process.

Frank Toldo has taken many pictures and he’ll give us soon.

Tom Tallerico has used his smartphone and GoPro video-recorder to record vidoes. His youtube links may be found here (that I’ve added to our sPHENIX webpage) :

There are still cables that need to be removed before the Electricians can remove the cable trays on 2/4.
