sPHENIX discussion of the superconducting solenoid

Is the opening of the Doghouse on the Magnet something which should be documented like the opening of the New Doghouse?

Or is this not necessary since it will be closed up after repairs are complete (hopefully never to be opened again)?

Or maybe something in between like photos of critical steps?

We're waiting for Ray Ceruti to open the doghouse attached to the Magnet.  ( We sent an email to Ray as you can see from the archived email below. )
Last week, Ray was not in the Lab. and he should have come back this week.  I haven't heard from him. 

So, Ray, what's your plan of opening up the doghouse (attached to the Magnet) ??

Hello Ray,

Could you please find a time to open  the doghouse attached directly to the Magnet Coil/Cryostat after you come back from your vacation ?

As you can see below, Carl (and I) went to check on it today and didn't make any breakthrough.  We'd like to check the doghouse

and even if we cannot fix anything after you open it, we'd at least like to make a new voltage-tap-connection for the problematic

VT-11 (and also for VT5) , as a spare (or replacement).  Now, it's the better time to do it as we have all the platforms/staircases etc.
