Just a story about how I spent the last couple of hours ...
Somehow, before lunch while I chatted with Ray over the phone, discussing about the nitrogen purge, he mentioned those valves
that he's replaced with heat shield restraints ! I asked him where those valves are. He said Frank Toldo should have them.
I could just believe that and it'd be the end of story... But of course, I didn't. I've learnt "seeing is believing".
I found Frank on phone when I was dining in Rocky Point. I met with him in 1008 after 2:30 pm. We went to where he kept the stuff
(that he collected from Ray) in the 1008 trailer. But quickly, we realized that they're all from the Valvebox. So, I drove to Bldg. 902
to find Ray. After some effort, I found Ray and tried to convince him that Frank only had the Valvebox stuff, not stuff that
Ray had recently dismantled. Ray told me that he put it in a brown box and had discussed with Dave Phillips and even suggested
to Dave to give it to Frank.
Then, I kept trying to call Dave's cell who is on vacation and Frank ... Somehow I finally caught Dave while I was driving back to
1008. Dave claimed that Frank should have it as Dave talked to Carter Biggs to have Frank take it. I got Frank in 1008 to talk
with Dave over my cell phone and Frank said that he didn't remember taking anything like that. So, we guessed that maybe
Carter Biggs took it. Frank told me not to worry about it and he'd ask Carter Biggs and find it.
Did I give up ?! Then, though Ray didn't believe it'd stil be in 902, the "Shelock Holms axiom" (or whatever) says that by
elimination, no matter how unlikely, the remaining possibilities must be the only possibilities. So, I drove back to Bldg. 912 and
found two boxes which look like "it", by the wall of the laser facility (which used to be for the ATFII). I couldn't find Ray over
the phone and so I drove it back to Bldg. 902 and showed Ray the picture that I took. He told me me one of them is what
he's talking about. I called Frank again and he's nice enough to meet with me at Bldg. 912 and then we loaded the boxes
to his truck. The other box is Jon Hock's strain gauges used in the High-Field Test which are probably not useful any more
but Frank took them anyway.
I am happy that my persistence and detective game work out this time (as it may not every time). So, I kind of "prove" that
I'm not completely useless ... at least I've saved the project a few thousand dollars to remake them.
I find the valves => so I exist ! Not everybody can prove their existence like that ! :-)
Now, I have to write the stupid memo of the effect of 1 inch of lead as the Rad. Safety Com. Chair as it's not documented in MIRP ....
I've tried to delay it for so many hours :-)
Kin
PS:
I hope we have everything that we need in 2 years. If anybody has any other doubts of missing pieces, please let me know :-)

Hi Kin,
They should be numbered where they go. If not it will be obvious when all six restraints are removed and you see which ones need to reach in farther than the others to make contact. The liner motion sensors have a very short stroke we discovered so they have to go back just right to actually be readable.
Regards,
Ray

Hi,
We looked at the 6 of them. 4 of them look alike and the other two alike. Among the two, one of them has "relief valve" written on it.
For the other 4 of them for the linear pot. Two has longer "sticks" than the other two sticks ? Those sticks (or whatever they should be called)
must be linked to the linear pots in the Magnet, right ? Why two are longer than the other two ? Maybe, two of them are on one side and the
other of them on the other side of the magnet ??
