Hi Brian,
Since I’m at it, let me ask all the questions. Please see the reply from Pablo. The dump resistor is air-cooled (like what I remember). But there is a water-cooled bus going through it for DCCT (another small rack next to the Dump Resistor) and other electronics. They also like “deionized water” 😊

Hello Kin;
The Sphenix dump Resistor itself is air cool, but we do have a small water cooled buss inside the dump resistor that requires water. “Deionized water” would be great.
Thanks
Pablo

Hi Pablo,
Since you have figured out what you need (after your visit to 1008B mezzanine last week), I hope you can provide the information to the drafting dept. and finish this documentation business 😊
I know that the big sPHENIX Magnet Power Supply needs water to cool. Is it also “deionized water”, right ?
And is the dump resistor (for our Magnet system) water-cooled at all ??? I don’t remember seeing any water-cooling pipes for the dump resistor but Brian said he saw some drawing …. Can you please confirm/tell us ??
