Hi,
I’ve just helped track down where Carl’s cables are sitting at the moment 😊 See below. I didn’t have much hope when I called Larry but he miraculously found the PO no. 392078 (250 ft cable) !
Nothing is trivial.

Hi, Carl,
I did some detective works. I called Dina Tullo (Receiving) and after some long chasing, she told me that the package was received on Feb. 3 and sent to Bldg. 930 (by mistake).
I called Deepak and Deepak recommended that I talked to Tim Lehn. Tim remembered some cables and he said that it’s locked up by the Water Group by Larry Vogt. I called Larry and Larry asked me to call him in x4666. He found in the Linac Receiving that the 250ft cable with the PO no.: 392078 .
So, Frank has agreed to take a look to see whether he can bring it to 1008 next Monday. If it’s too heavy, he’ll ask riggers to do it.

Hi Frank,
The PO for the cable says it was received, but I can’t tell when. The PO is # 392078; it is Belden cable part # 1052A, 250 Ft. Did you receive the cable and store it for sPhenix?
Thanks

I put a BOLD message in Comments and sent Dina and Matt an email to have it deliver to 1008.

Hi Frank,
Its 250 ft of 16 pair, so it will be fairly heavy. I sent it to 1005S, sorry I forgot you wanted it at 1008. I’ll see if the destination can be changed to 1008.
Hi Janet, If it is possible please redirect PO # 392078 to service building 1008 instead of 1005S. Let me know if that is possible.
Thanks to All
Carl

You can have it sent here and I will stash it in the trailer. Will it be a big heavy roll and cable?

Hi Frank,
I hope you may help. Not sure how big that cable package is but I imagine you may put them in the trailer near where we put the rest of our sPHENIX magnet stuff. We have a half-rack there, plus Carl’s board (a few months ago) ….
Could you please let us know when you receive it ??

Hi Frank,
I ordered the sPhenix Quench Detector Voltage Tap Cable on 12/10/2020. It is scheduled to come in between now and 1/15/2021. It is PO # 392078. The description is Belden #1052A, 250 ft. Please watch for this cable, and when it arrives move it into safe storage. We won’t need it for a while.
Thanks

I’m assuming the Riggers will be bringing it over here. They will usually find me and ask where I want it dropped off.

Frank, so Carl just need to say “1008” in his BNL purchase order (PO) ?? Or anything more precise ??

Hi Frank,
I am going to write the req for the voltage-tap cable for sPhenix. Please send me the info for the delivery of the cable. I can send it to you, so you don’t have to track it down and move it.
Thanks
