Hi,
https://brookhavenlab.sharepoint.com/sites/sPHENIXMagnet/External/Lists/Calendar/DispForm.aspx?ID=257 (calendar item):
There was a meeting attended by Joel Vasquez, Pablo Rosas, John Haggerty, Carl Schultheiss and myself, discussing about the interface of signals in 1008B between sPHENIX and sPHENIX Magnet, this morning (10:00 to ~11:15 am).
The Magnet gets a permissive signal from sPHENIX Expt. and Joel/sPHENIX will get some signals from the Magnet for monitoring. There will be only 3 crash buttons (one in the sPHENIX Control Room, one at the Expt. Floor/IR, one at the platform where Valvebox sits) to shut off the Magnet (Power Supply) --- separated from the experimental emergency-off (etc.).
What we haven’t had for the Magnet is the status/temperature of the water of the water-cooled busses. Because during the high-field test, we didn’t have water-cooled busses (as those 535 MCM cables are air-cooled). Carl is going to talk to David Chan (or Larry Vogt) to find the water-cooled temperature etc.
