Hi,
Thanks, Ray. I understand from Chris Pontieri and Frank Toldo that Ray has written how much he's turned on a piece of paper
(on a board) with the green-sheet. We'll scanned/copied when everything is finished.
Frank told me that he'll replace the unistrut/plate with the cover plates after we move the Magnet to the top of those 13
sectors of oHCAL.
So now, we're only waiting for the lifting paperworks to be done before we move the Magnet to the top of oHCAL.
I talked with Piyush last Friday and hopefully, his equipment/technician will be able to help Carl with the electrical
test.

Hi All,
All tie rods have been backed off the required three turns and the three restraints on each end have been loosened the required amount. The solenoid is now in the “operational” state of adjustment.
Thanks and Regards,
Ray

Subject: Ray Ceruti would loosen the tie-rod ... and Frank Toldo will replace the restraints with covers
Hi,
I’ve talked with Ray Ceruti and Frank Toldo as well as Russel Feder and Jim Mills this afternoon. Rus told us that he’s dealing some paperworks with Mike Gaffney before we can actually raise the Magnet to the outer-HCAL.
Before that, as we have agreed in a meeting a month ago or so, Ray Ceruti will find time (next week) to loosen the tie-rod (or whatever it should be called) and Frank Toldo will replace the 5 restraints with the 5 covers --- 4 of them have linear-pot.
Ray : I show you the picture in “Relief Valve Installed.jpg” and you can see that though the two “bars” are still there, for that position, it’s already got the “relief valve” installed. “barr.jpg” shows one of the 5 restraints in the center of the picture (which was originally for loosening the tie-rod). Frank and I’ve made sure that we have got those 5 covers (4 with linear pots) in the 1008 trailer.
But Ray, if you somehow have found any “blank” belonging to the BaBar Magnet, can you please return to us (Frank Toldo or me) ???
