Hi,

I just chatted with Chris Wise in Teams to show/explain to him the picture
attached. I think Chris understood but I just send this to the mailing
list for the record (in case I forget in 3 years or something).

The last wire/line of the 3rd block on the 2nd rail of the rack in 1008B
mezzanine used to connect to the -ve "terminal" of the
Agilent electronics. But now, we don't use this 3rd block (but only the 1st
and 2nd blocks on that 2nd rail). This morning, Winston (and I)
just connected the -ve "terminal" of Agilent electronics to the last
line/wire of the 2nd block as shown in the picture.

The side where the black wire is connected to is actually on the input side
and usually they're for the input wires. But this last line
is an exception because it's the near the end of the circuit and we need to
connect to the -ve terminal of the electronics to "complete the circuit".

Chris will unplug the old other 15 input wires on this block on the input
side and plug in the new wires, but not this black one.
I think Chris has understood it and I just write this for my own benefit (in
3 years ....).

Hi Chris,

I just re-send the mappings again.

From the longest strain gauge (52*2) list --- pdf file, it goes to TB-TT-1
(TT01-05.jpg) and then to TB-MPOT1 ("Linear Pot Mapping on the 1008B
Mezzanine.jpg").
[ For the strain gauges, GRN wire goes to line 1, BRN wire goes to line 2 ...
etc. ]

In all mapping files, the diagrams with "circles with a line across them"
indicate the terminal blocks that you see on the rack on the 1008B mezzanine.
