Good morning Kin,

 

Here is where we are at, there are 2 return WCB at S-PHENIX.  Each of the buss has an independent water flow switch and a thermistor mounted to the buss to sense the temperature.  So there is a total of 4 signals.  All the wiring from the devices to the power supply PLC have been wired.  The programming for the PLC to read the signals has been updated and tested to confirmed there operation.   

 

There is one signal that remains to be completed.  We are looking into sending a pump on / off status from the S-PHENIX water cooling system to the power supply PLC.

 

I believe this covers water system alarms to the power supply PLC.

Hi Joe,

 

I just asked David Chan when he asked me something about BLIP …  My question is about the temperature signal and the flow signal connections for the water-cooled-bus for the

sPHENIX Magnet.   We need these two signals and they need to be connected to the PLC of the Magnet Power Supply.  

 

David Chan told me that these can be either  already done or close to be done ( --- connected to the PLC of the Magnet Power Supply). 

 

Can you please let me know ?
