Hello,
Thanks for the confirmation 😊 ( I feel like passing an exam. or something 😁 )
I hope Chung help re-configure as soon as he comes back on Tuesday.

I have to go through it myself, it looks correct. I think Chung is out today, I will be in Tuesday. I picked up the equipment we need to input “50 Amps” and enable the interlock.
Chung should reconfigure before we do the calibration.

Hi Carl and Chung,
I figure out the answer, I think.
The voltage diagram (which we copy from document to document … Carl still hasn’t put in the spares that we’ve added) can be found in the 2nd page of the plan: 2022 Magnet Operation Plan.docx
VT11 and VT10 gave us problem (or whatever you’d call it) in the high-field test.
VT10 is the one that we can’t fixed as it’s inside the Magnet Cryostat. We add replacement(s) for VT11.
I looked at the (old) assignment : 2017-12-28 SG Channel Assignment.xlsx
VT-10 -> VT-11 used to be called “Negative Magnet Lead” and VT-11 -> VT-20 is called “Negative 90 deg. Offset Joint”
We obviously did VT9 – VT20 in 2018 (at the end) --- bypassing VT10 and VT11. ( VT9-VT20 must be “Inner Magnet Coil; Negative”. )
Now, we need to do VT9-VT11 and VT11-VT20.
So, I think we need to change VT9-VT20 to VT9-VT11, which we call “Inner Magnet Coil; Negative” or “Inner Coil Volt” in the Labview panel ;
and we need to have VT11-VT20 , “Negative 90 deg. Offset Joint” or “-90 Off Jnt” in the Labview panel.
Carl, do you agree ?

Hi Carl,
Can you please tell us which of the two channels should be re-enabled ? So that Chung can try to re-enable/reconfigure it.

You don’t “ignore” a voltage tap. You have to have the channel (each made up of two taps) reconfigured to look at different taps. It is somewhat more complicated than you believe. He can practice by fixing the channel associated with the voltage tap we fixed. Right now two channels are “disabled” on the front display, the correct one can be reconfigured to its original condition and that channel must be reenabled.

Hi Carl,
Just remember …
Today, I talked with Chung Ho and Charlie Theisen (separately) about the possibility of disabling or ignoring a voltage tap if we later found that a voltage tap is no good (etc.). Both Charlie and Chung are confident that Chung can do this 😊
