Below I include the which is which information for the 8 water-cooled-buses (in which we use 4 only) that we’ve gathered from Rob Karl.

 

I include a picture of the progress of ~45K cool-down in RHIC, meant to be between 6 o’clock and 12 o’clock (the minimal that they can do

in order to cool 8 o’clock 😊, as the valve at 10 o’clock was not right for the last 20 years or so and they could only turn around at 12 o’clock,

instead of 10 o’clock).   Andy Warkentien said that it might take another week (depending a bit on how soon people want to cool the magnet).

 

The picture is obtained from the Cryo E-log (after Andy told me where to find it … and so now I know without needing to bother him 😊 ).

Hi,

If you stand in 1008-IR facing the West Wall, the order of the pipes are as shown in Rob's email below,

basically from the left to the right.  Now, you will only see the unused Thin-Wall pipes (4) near the floor,

as the four used (thickner) pipes are cut way up.

 

The order are the same in the 1008B mezzanine if you imagine yourself still standing in 1008-IR, facing the West Wall

(or if you have your back facing the 1008-IR when you go to 1008B mezzanine).

Yes, standing inside B1008 IR, looking at wall, I counted pipes from left to right. Yes, #8 should have said Negative Thick Wall (Return) So:

As you requested the BUS coming down the west wall is in the order of:

1. Thin Wall
2. Thin Wall
3. Positive Thick Wall (Supply Water)
4. Negative Thick Wall (Return Water)
5. Thin Wall
6. Thin Wall
7. Positive Thick Wall (Supply Water)
8. Negative Thick Wall (Return Water)
