sPHENIX discussion of the superconducting solenoid

Hi,

I attach a picture with the mapper (green) inside the Magnet bore (after the CERN colleagues took all the trainings including Authorized-LOTO that I don't have 😅).  This evening, they worked until ~ 5:30 pm before they called it a day.  

Below is Russ' message about the progress so far and plan for tomorrow.

Team,

The compressor and mapper robot are working well and Nicola is able to control the motion remotely. Adrian is here with me observing the robot motion from a safety perspective. 

First thing tomorrow morning the CERN team would like

1. Remove the installation shelf from the pole tip doors and crane it down

2. Get Survey in for a final precise adjustment of the mapper motion.

I think tomorrow we will also have the pole tip doors closed with the air and data lines draped through the beam pipe hole.  We can regroup and debrief at that point to discuss getting the LOTOs removed and moving back to magnet operations.
