Hi,
With Pablo and CAS, I did a quench test at 100A by setting a threshold to 0 V. It didn't trip and heard the Contactor bang.
After that, we just finished ramping to the top current set point 4620.3 A which should represent 4596 A according to the DCCT.

Subject: FW: Today's test/ramp
I hope/expect that you (the Cryo system) won’t notice anything about a 55 A crash (compared to our ~4600 A at the top).

Hi,
After the pole-tip door test this morning, we should be ready to test the Power Supply and ramp up … I’ll ramp the Magnet/Power Supply to 55 A and then change one of the 50 mV threshold to 0 V so that it should “crash”. ( Chung Ho reminds me that in the ramp mode, < 50 A, the Labview won’t crash. So, I have to go higher than 50 A. 😊 )
I type this so that you’re aware of what we are doing, in case we need help 😊
